I live in California by the ocean and everything rusts here and the ground is very sandy. I found Global Syn Turf online and they had answers for all my questions. They referred me to their dealer in my area and this guy Joe really helped get my putting green installed correctly. First, he had to dig down about 12" to get the sand out and filled it up with Class 2 Road Base and compacted it every 4 inches. Then he used plastic cups instead of aluminium cups that would rust. Lastly he used galvanized nails in my green so they would not rust. Not all companies are the same but Global Syn Turf and their certified network installers is the best.
