What is your question?

Yes, you will need concrete to install golf cups on your artificial putting green. You will install the putting green turf in a similar way as you are installing regular turf, when it comes to the cup installation, you will need concrete to secure it in the ground. You will find this YouTube video helpful for golf cup installations: https://youtu.be/FU1xv1E1c4k. We recommend to use 1.5-2 lbs of infills per square foot when you are installing our artificial grass products including the Pet Turf. So you area is 135 sf. (15’x9’) which will need 202-270 lbs of infills, all our infills are 50 lbs per bag, so you will need to order 4 to 5 bags for your project. Your artificial grass won’t be curled once you first roll it out: all the fibers will be pressed down facing one direction which is normal due to how we are packaging the turf. Typically before installing the artificial grass, we always recommend people to roll out the turf under the sun to let it relax during which time frame (1-2 hours), the turf and fibers will be warmed up and start to stand up on its own. Please keep in mind that most our artificial grass products come with a form of both straight fibers and thatch (curled), even the fibers being pressed down the thatch of turf will stall maintain its curling form and be functional as they are designed to be: help straight fibers stand up better and provide more realistic look. Please feel free to call us (877 796 8873) or email us ([email protected]) if you have any other questions, thank you.

You can use either nail for your artificial grass installations, they both will work out well to give you satisfactory results: the 40 D nails is a bit thinner and shorter and cost less, some installers like it as it can be a bit easier to drive through the turf at the installation; 60 D nails are bit more expensive but longer which theoretically provide better hold. Silica sand vs Green sand? Which one is better for S blade-90?

2020-12-10T07:05:13+00:00

The only difference between regular silica sand and green sands are the color and price: our green sand is coated with green color which can technically blend in better with the artificial grass. Since the green sands take extra steps of coating and drying, the cost is higher than regular silica sand. Technically you can use any infills to go with pet turf, however, if budget allows, I will always recommend zeolite which is a natural mineral that can neutralize the pet’s urine smell. Zeolite infills will also serve the general purposes of holding the artificial grass down to minimize expansions and contractions, and help the turf blades to stand up better. When finished with the artificial putting green installation, the edges of the golf cup should be about 1/8”-1/4” lower than the putting green surface. We offer two different depth on the golf cups, 4” or 6” in either plastic or aluminum options, you will need to cement the cups regardless the depth or materials.
