No. The weed barrier is optional. Use it if weeds have strong roots at the time of installation.

| John Taylor I think it is a bit expensive when I asked my installer so I didn't use it, I haven't had any weeds growing out of turf yet, I guess I will use roundup if weeds become problem. |
