All our artificial putting greens are similar in height with 1/8”-1/4” difference, and the faceweight is about 15 oz apart at two extremes. I am not sure about your intended usage of the putting green, but would like to know more details if you can share so we be better assisting you on product choices. You can always reach us by phone 877 796 8873 or email: [email protected], thank you.
Yes, generally speaking, all putting greens require infills of 1.5-2 lbs per square foot regardless the faceweight. With sufficient infills, your ball speed will be ideal and your greens will have less expansion/contraction. Both our 60 oz and 44 oz putting greens are with bit dark shade of color. From installation standpoint, it is much easier to infill the 44 oz greens than the 60 oz greens as the 60 oz greens are much more dense that makes it difficult to brush the infills into the fibers. The feel and look of all our putting greens are very similar if you are referring to that of “smoothness”. For the smoothness of ball moving/speed, all three main putting greens will give you 7-9 on stimpmeter without any infills and can go up to 12-14 with infills, which in my opinion are very smooth. Our artificial putting green turf products are very durable, with proper installations and infills, it will last many years. It is difficult to name an accurate lifespan of a putting green product as different people use the green differently and time spent on the greens can also be dramatically different. Our warranty covers 8 years, and in reality the putting greens will last much longer than that. For any additional questions, please call 877 796 8873 or email us at [email protected], thanks.

We always recommend to use infills on all our artificial putting green applications for the following reasons:
1. To help holing down the turf to minimize expansions and contractions.
2. To adjust (increase) the ball rolling speed: the more of the infill, the faster the balls rolling.
3. To provide cushioning for ball absorption, especially for a chip shot from a few feet away.
Typically, due to the tightness of the artificial putting green fibers, we recommend either 30 mesh or smaller sands to be used, and green colored will be ideal and blend in well with the putting green surface.

I will definitely recommend either Pro Putt-44 or Putt-46Bicolor from our artificial putting greens lineup: both products are equally excellent and great for both beginners or pros. With infills, the ball speed can be adjusted accordingly, the faster the ball speed the more infills will be required. ![]() | Hiro Hi - we really like the Putt-60 bicolor turf. It seems like it would be much more durable than the Putt46 turf. Just curious why you’d recommend the Putt 46 over the Putt 60 for first time DYI installers for a putting green. Thanks |
