There are couple of ways to create stripes visual appearance on your artificial grass:

1. You can stripe your artificial grass by using the same type of product but installing them with tips of grass fibers facing two opposite directions. First, you have to decide on how wide you would like the stripe to be, then cut the grass to the size according. By using the same product to create artificial grass stripe looks, the results might be less striking.

2. You can use two different colored artificial grass to install them side by side to create the stripes: you need to make sure to choose the two different products with same pile height so after installation you won’t have an uneven surface. By doing the stripes with two different colored turf, you should lay the grass so the tips of the grass fibers are facing the same direction.

As far as I am aware that most of HOA won’t bother to regulate artificial grass installations. Some more restricted HOA might have some rules or regulations for your front yard landscaping, but I haven’t heard any cases that HOA regulate homeowners’ backyards. For state of California which is considered the most regulated among the entire nation, previous governor Jerry Brown has singed a las to prohibit HOA from restricting artificial grass installations. Artificial grass is considered as drought tolerant landscaping options, therefore it is encouraged to be installed with government rebates incentives. Similar incentive programs are also offered in many other states.

Regardless, I will recommend you to double check with your own HOA to find out details. Should you need any further help such as products eligibility or other documents, please feel free to reach us via phone, email or this online form: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

Artificial grass is a great option for commercial applications! The key benefits of artificial grass such as water saving, no or low maintenance along with environmental benefits make it a very unique choice for commercial landscaping. Think about a small lawn area in front a retail store, to water and maintain such a small area can be as painful as you can imagine especially when such areas are enclosed with some fences; also imagine areas of a city median, normally covered with real grass, not only requires a lot of water and landscapers maintenance, but it also generate a lot of air pollutions from lawn mower and contaminations of soil and underground water from fertilizers and pesticides. With artificial grass, you won’t have any of above headaches, talking about saving a lot of money!

Our artificial grass has been spec’ed in many of metropolitans’ scope of work, and has been used in many commercial projects. To find out more, please feel free to reach us via phone, email or online form:

It depends and can be different from state to state. As far as I am aware of that HOAs in most of the states are careless about restrictions on artificial grass if the installations to be in the backyard. Some of the HOAs might have rules for front yard artificial grass installations, but in state of California, it is illegal for HOA to restrict artificial grass as it is considered as drought tolerated landscaping and California Law prevents HOAs to set any of their own rules to stop drought tolerated landscaping. I haven't heard HOAs in any other states not to accept artificial turf, but the best approach will be for you to fill out this online form, and we will help you to find out more information regarding this matter, or you can reach out to your HOA to see if there is any specific rules they might have toward artificial grass.

We offer different type of infills including some sands for artificial grass installations, to address your question properly, we need to focus on the functionalities of the infills/sands. There are two basic functions of infills/sands for all artificial grass installations: to provide extra weight on turf to minimizing the expansions and contractions; to help artificial grass standing up. There are also other functions that infills/sands can achieve such as to minimize the dog urine smells, to avoid bacterias and to blend in better with coated colors. It will all depend on your intentions and usages of artificial grass to determine the best value of infills/sands:

1. If budget is your main concern, I will recommend the most inexpensive sands which can take are of the most basic functions for your artificial grass functions.

My installers used green sand
I didnt know that there are a lot of infill varieties. This is remarkably useful!
This is really helpful. Now I know what infill is the perfect for me.
Wow! This is a very detailed answer. I have been looking for a product that can lessen the smell of my pup's urine and I didn't know that infills should be considered. So helpful!

Generally speaking, you won't have any insects issues after your install artificial grass. Our product is made of plastic materials which provide no living environment for insects like real grass does. Therefore, you can have a piece of mind on this concern.

Some insects are only attracted to a place if there's food. So if you're artificial grass has food debris, make sure to clean it.
Yeah, insects don't live in artificial grass unless there are debris of food on it, but the won't live there.
Peace of mind indeed! Insects will never be a problem then.
I love this idea considering that I don't want ants living on my grass.
Very good! Nice to know that I do not need to worry about bugs and insects in our lawn.

Yes, you can. I assume you want to have it to wash/clean your artificial grass lawn periodically which can be a good idea. However, it can be difficult after your artificial grass lawn have already been installed unless you don't mind to have a water line laying around, here are some scenarios I can imagine:

1. You already have the artificial turf installed, and you want to have the rotary washing head installed. In this case, you will have to connect your washing head to a hose and place it on the turf, this will be the easiest way and you will have all the flexibilities of having the washing head out or put them away. Only drawback is your hose will be laying around and can be visible while you are using it.

2. If you haven't installed your artificial turf yet, and you are placing your existing real grass lawn with artificial. Mostly likely you have already had your sprinklers in place for your real grass lawn before, you can leave them in, and manually turn them on when you want to clean your artificial lawn while leave them off when you are not using it. In this case, you don't need to install a rotary washing head at all. Or you still prefer the rotary washing, you can have your plumber to tap the line with your existing sprinkler system to make it work.

If you don't have any sprinklers to start with, you will need to have a plumber or your landscaper to run a line for you before you start building the sub base for your artificial grass lawn.

i may be wrong but i think he meant the type to hang washing on, not clean the artificial grass?
That answer has nothing to do with the question! The question referred to a rotary washing line, not a water line to wash the grass

Artificial grass itself is not abrasive and won't hurt skins, however, when motions get involved such as sliding on an artificial grass surface, frictions can be a problem. Like any surfaces regardless the materials, when people slide on them, there will be frictions and depends on people weight and distance of the slide, harm might happen to skins, again such concerns can be for any type of surfaces. Therefore, I strongly suggest to have your kids wear proper protections such as elbow and knee wraps while playing fierce sports on artificial grass.

For general soft plays and use of artificial turf, the lawn surface will be perfectly safe for you and your kids, and you won't need to worry much about "artificial lawn being abrasive to skin".

My kids love playing outside and our artificial lawn is one of there favorite spot. As long as I have them wear proper protection then I think everything will be just fine.
Players get hurt even in real lawns because of the friction. But if you're just simply walking, sitting or touching it with your bare hand or feet, it would not hurt you.

Artificial grass will hold up very well in traffics, the traffic won’t affect the integrity of the artificial turf, however you need to anticipate turf blades to lay down after a while. This is the law of physics, you give constant pressures on anything, you will see the impact of such constant force, the same apply to artificial grass. No need to worry though as the turf is designed to take regular wear and tear, being matted down is not necessarily a quality concern rather visual changes from users’ perspective.

We will be more than happy to discuss with you on your applications and help you set up proper expectations on how your artificial grass will perform before you make any comments, please simply fill out this online form to get connected with us:

Absolutely! Most artificial grass are installed in high traffic areas.
Yes, it does. Don't forget to fluff it and rake away the dirt and debris gently.
Artificial grass are most often used in the sports field,
They're used in sports so it must be really great holding up in traffic. They use a specific type of shoes on it though, I believe.
Based on experience, it does. You just have to be really careful and take the time in choosing the best product for you.
Like regular grass, the artificial grass will lay flat if you have something heavy on it everyday, like having chairs on the artificial grass, or barbecue grill, etc.

You can use any of our artificial grass product along the poolside. All of our turf designed and made to be suitable for poolside applications. The most common way to have artificial grass along poolside is to design it with a combination of pavers and artificial grass stripes: this is not only beautiful on the appearance, but also very functional. As we all know that there is no way for real grass to survive well along the poolside given the constant traffic with chemicals from the pool water. Artificial grass will be the best green option along the poolside. If for me personally, I will choose artificial turf with shorter blades which will still look good when traffics matted down the fibers.

Any GST artificial grass can be installed for the poolside. I prefer a shorter pile though.
You actually can choose any of their artificial grass. They're pretty flexible and can work for various applications.
I honestly prefer a fake grass with shorter blades, especially if it's going to be wet a lot because I think it's just easier to clean.
We have used their Riviera Monterey-50 on our pool area and it's so perfect!
