Our re-engineered Cool Blue Hollow series of artificial grass is made of fibers with a hole in it (like a straw), such fiber design will help trapping moistures inside the fiber and keep the temperature down after water being sprayed on. TCool is an infill product that will help dramatically reduce the heat of the turf once applied, the Cool Blue Hollow products and the TCool infills are not contradicted one another, definitely can be used together to achieve the ultimate cooling results. So I will always to recommend both for the best cooling effectiveness of your artificial grass surface. Generally speaking the thatch of artificial grass has two main purpose: 1. To help the turf fibers standing up; 2. To make the turf look more natural. Hopefully this answers your question, and please let us know if you have any other concerns by phone or email: [email protected].

Our artificial grass is designed and manufactured to be pet friendly Which means it is safe for pets to play on with no harm, however the turf never should be pulled, chewed or eaten! Artificial grass is made of plastic and wil cause harm to your rabbits if he/she eats it. Unfortunately, in your situation, you should remove the turf from the cage and avoid it to be eaten. Please let us know if you have any other questions by phone or email: [email protected]

The gopher wire installed underneath the artificial grass definitely can prevent small animals like rabbits to break through, the meshed wires won’t be able to prevent moles or germs though. Well, it depends on the actual size of the piece of artificial grass you got: if your piece is small, similar to a size of area rug or floor mat, you can simply leave it free floating just as you will do with any indoor area rugs or mat, you don’t need anything else to secure it onto the floor. However, if your artificial turf piece is large and you would like to install it inside your house permanently, you can treat it as regular carpet: pin it down to the floor or glue it down will work just fine.

It all depends on the type, size and scope of the artificial grass sport field projects. But in any case, I don’t think the installation can be done within a day. Sport field applications can be for residential, communities, schools or professional sport facilities, even within the same category, sizes and requirements can vary from project to project. Please call or email us with your project details so we can provide better help, or simply fill out this online form and we will be in touch shortly: https://www.globalsynturf.com/free-quote

All our artificial grass designed and manufactured to be toxic free and kid friendly. Even though at the hand feel some turf might be a bit stiffer compared with others, but my experience is that once they are installed and in a warm day, all fibers will become soft enough to be pleasant for kids to play on. For softer feeling artificial grass, the best choice will be our cashmere series, you will find these products with the best soft feel in the market. You can find the details about three cashmere products at this link: https://www.globalsynturf.com/catalog/landscape-lawns

For extra cushioning, you should use our shock pads or lawn pads, artificial grass itself doesn’t have any fall ratings, but with pads installed underneath, you will be able to achieve a lot on cushioning concerns. Generally speaking, I can categorize artificial grass playgrounds as residential and public. Public playgrounds have strict requirements for fall ratings: from 5’ to 12’ or even higher which means people won’t get hurt if they fall from 5’ to 12’. In order to achieve such fall ratings while using artificial grass for public playgrounds, you will need to use lawn pads under the artificial grass to provide enough cushioning. Lawn pads come in as 3/4”, 1-1/4” and 2-1/4” in thickness. To achieve a 5’ fall rating, 1-1/4” thickness lawn pad is required. 2-1/4” thick lawn pad will provide a 8’ fall rating. In order to get higher fall ratings, multiple layers of lawn pads will be required.

There are no specific requirements for residential playgrounds which in most cases s have multiple usages not only just for playgrounds but also as a regular lawn. In reality, not many people using lawn pads for residential playgrounds due to the cost concerns, cost of installing artificial grass playgrounds with lawn pads will be higher on both materials and installations. If budget permits, I personally recommend to use lawn pads for all playground artificial grass installations. As far as choice of artificial grasses to be used for playgrounds, depends on the frequencies of usage, people can use shorter grass for heavily used playgrounds and longer grass for less used playgrounds.
